About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Chris Hyde and I am the author of the Bacon Bytes Blog. My wonderful wife and I were married in 1999 and have been blessed with three beautiful children. We have two girls and one boy and currently live in Pennsylvania. I am using this blog as a place to share ideas and experiences about educational technology with a personal post here and there.

Professionally: I am a technology integrator for a school district in Pennsylvania. It is my job to assist teachers with integrating technology into their classrooms. I am able to provide them with ideas, tools, technical assistance, guidance, and training to aid them in making technology an integral part of their curriculum for the betterment of the students! It is for this reason that I will be using this blog to reflect on the multiple aspects of my job.

Personally: I am tremendously proud father and husband. Being a sports nut is a passion of mine and my wife and her family have succeeded in turning me into a WVU Mountaineer Maniac! Although I miss my family while I’m gone, my father-in-law and brother-in-law love to travel to Morgantown for home football games every fall. I am also a lover of food, most of which I must admit, is not healthy for me! That being said, I also plan to use this blog to express some of my experiences with my family, friends, and food.

I hope you are able to find something of interest here. Enjoy!

  1. I am a writer for onlinedegrees.org and I am including you on my upcoming list of the top 100 technology blogs for teachers. I was wondering if you could write me an e-mail so I could ask you a few questions and provide more info about your blog in my post. Please include the title of your blog in the e-mail. Thanks ahead of time for your help!
